I love everything I have read by this author and the description of the book sounded a little too much for me but because I loved the characters, I had to read it and I am so happy I did because it was so awesome. I loved and adored it so much. The journey that Fallyn and Wolf go on was absolutely wonderful and I loved their hearts so much.
This book opens up when Fallyn discovers she is about to be tossed out her junior year of college. Why? because her parents have lost every penny they have. They need to cut expenses and sell their things and she needs to come home because they cannot pay her school fees.
In her plight to stay in school she ends up meeting someone who gives her the brilliant idea to sell her virginity. What she doesn't know is that she has a very cute and handsome stalker, and he heard that conversation. Wolf decides its time for him to claim Fallyn, but he has to do it anonymously. This plot point is usually not my favorite, but I loved the secretness of it and it's because he wants to protect and help his former best friend no matter what.
Fallyn hates Wolf. But Wolf just wants anything from her, hate, love, he doesn't care as long as she is in his life. They have been estranged for 5 years and he has missed her every second. With her money problems, Fallyn needs help and aside from the whole virgin thing, she also gets a job which brings her even more into Wolf's world.
This book was awesome from beginning to end. There were definitely vibes from Beauty and the Beast. I am not sure it was a retelling, but it definitely had a Beauty and the Beast theme. Fallyn has this scar on her chest, and it has really hurt her and her confidence. Wolf is a hot hockey goalie with a beautiful future ahead of him, but he is also extremely broken hearted and needs Fallyn to mend his heart.
The whole virgin thing was done absolutely beautifully and there was also a huge surprise in the big reveal. I loved it and am not spoiling it. The whole secret was so much fun.
While I loved this book so much and I felt it was a lot of fun. It also had some really big issues in it. One is that Wolf and Fallyn's family are enemies, and her parents blame Wolf for the loss of her brother. They also are very clingy and drive her crazy. She works very hard to get them to realize they need to move forward in all their lives. Fallyn was such an amazing character, and I loved her fire and drive to succeed no matter what.
