This story starts out in Seattle at the Seattle Sockeyes with Jason Wilder. At the start of the book, he finds out he has been TRADED to the Portland IceHawks, who he considers the worst team in the league. He also knows that his very secret ex, Addison Barlowe works for the IceHawks, and her grandfather owns the team.
Jason is 34 and has been in the league over 8 years. Ten years before he dated Addison for a summer and things did not end well. She kind of hates him.
Addison is pretty much the last one to know when she finds out Jason has been traded to her team. Let's say it's not a very happy reunion and if you love, hate to love and second chance romances, well you will love this sports romance.
In this story Addison has a HUGE secret and it's so big that it really terrifies her. She is one tough cookie and an awesome strong woman, but this secret will change everything for her.
Jason at the start of this book, is the hockey playing playboy who doesn't want to grow up. But this trade shocks his happy world and really makes him grow up a lot and decide what he wants his future to be. He has a lot of work to get Addison to ever give him a second chance, and the secret will change his entire world.
This was a really fun story and I loved watching these two characters grow up and change and have to make some really tough decisions. I also loved that Addison had the power in this book and Jason had to work so hard for her to give him his second chance.
