Uncovering Hope by Susana Mohel

BLURB

I hate Ellis Gibbs.
With his too perfect looks and his charm that makes everyone kiss the ground he walks on.
And he’s trying to steal my dream. The position I worked my whole life to rightfully earn. The CEO chair.
It’s war, baby.
And I’m playing to win. But apparently so is he.
We become entangled in a clash of wills to see which one of us will come out on top.
But sometimes battle lines blur. And ours was no exception.
What’s more important than winning a war? Uncovering hope.

A full-length office romance full of banter, panty-melting chemistry, and plot twists. One-click now!!

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story featured some of my favorite tropes:

- Adoption

- Hate to love

- Work romance

- Rivals

- Meddling grandpa

- Insta lust/love

This is a story about Hope who was an infant who was abandoned in a dumpster when she was found by a  woman who ended up marrying the doctor who took care of the child, Hope. It gave Hope a family, grandparents, a sibling who was also adopted, cousins. The grandparents own a burger type of business and Hope was trained young to know that one day she would run the company. However at the start of the book, she is young, stressed, and wanting to take over for her grandfather so he can retire.

And thats how she meets Ellis. He is hired to help train her and come up with a way for the company to branch out and expand. But Hope just sees him as competition for the job of running the company someday.

To some degree Hope is a very emotional character. This is the only family she has and she wants to show them that she was worth adopting. At times she is stubborn, a hot head, and sees Ellis as a rival rather than someone she can utilize to expand the business.

Ellis fell hard for Hope at first sight. When he is hired, it is actually the second time he met Hope. She was a woman he asked to dinner when he got stuck in an elevator with her. They never got together but he sees the job offer as a second chance to get to know her. That is until he sees how much she resents him.

Ellis falls for Hope instantly but he has to get her to see beyond the meddling, the fight for power and that he is all in for her.

This was an awesome story and I totally loved it. It is told in POV by Ellis and Hope and was a light read. It is a story about love, family and fate.
