This is Cory's story and he had a fling with Ande some months before this book starts. But when they go their separate ways he goes a bit crazy with women and that was not something I loved about him. However when he finds Ande again I loved that he wanted her and he worked hard to get her to give him his "second shot."
This is a second chance romance but it also has a bit of a revenge plot to this story and while I am not a fan of that type of trope, it worked very well in this story and made for a big reveal that was intense and very drama filled.
There is a side plot with Ande and her sister. I am not a fan of sisters going after the same guy so this was not something I liked in this book but it did give this story a huge twist and made it very different from the other books in this series. I like that the author tried something very risky and different and while it was not something I loved it did make for an interesting and drama filled later part of the story.
This was a good second chance romance and I really did like Cory. I liked that he saw what a treasure Ande was and how he wanted her to give him his second shot. I also adored that we got a lot of Kane time and I cannot wait for his book.
