Growing up, R.L. Mathewson was a painfully shy bookworm. After high school she attended college, worked as a bellhop, fast food cook, and a museum worker until she decided to take an EMT course. Working as an EMT helped her get over her shyness as well as left her with some fond memories and some rather disturbing ones that from time to time show up in one of her books.
Today, R.L. Mathewson is the single mother of two children that keep her on her toes. She has a bit of a romance novel addiction as well as a major hot chocolate addiction and on a perfect day, she combines the two.

This is an at work romance story between the big boss, Devyn and Andi, his newly hired assistant. Andi is a runaway accountant who ends up hired to help Devyn at work. She uncovers some things when Devyn is buying another hotel that leads to some intrigue and I loved how she is the one who ends up saving the day.
Devyn is a very serious guy. He comes from nothing and he is self made but also takes life, his aspirations and his job very seriously. that is until Andi enters his life. He falls really hard for her and she really brings some fun and levity into his life that he really needed. She helps him let loose and enjoy life and opens his eyes to some things and I loved how he wanted her to see how awesome she was and how he really appreciated who she was.
This story was awesome, and I adored it so much. Andi is a lot of fun and I really loved how she saves the day and the awesome relationship that she ends up having with Devyn.
