Charming, hilarious, and emotional, Starry-Eyed Love is Helena Hunting at her very best!
Starry-Eyed Love, an all-new hilarious and heartwarming workplace romance from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting is now available!
Having just broken up with her boyfriend, London Spark is not in the mood to be hit on. Especially not when she’s out celebrating her single status with her sisters. So when a very attractive man pays for their drinks and then slips her his number, she passes it right back to him with a ‘thanks, but no thanks’. As the business administrator for their family’s event hotel, the Spark House, London has more important things to worry about, like bringing in new clientele.
As luck would have it, a multi-million-dollar company calls a few months later asking for a meeting to discuss a potential partnership, and London is eager to prove to her sisters, and herself, that she can land this deal. Just when she thinks she has nailed her presentation, the company’s CEO, Jackson Holt, walks in and inserts himself into the meeting. Not only that, but he also happens to be the same guy she turned down at the bar a few months ago.
As they begin to spend more time together, their working relationship blossoms into something more. It isn’t until their professional entanglements are finally over, that London and Jackson are finally ready to take the next step in their relationship. But between Jackson’s secretive past and London’s struggle with her sisters, London must question where she really stands - not just with Jackson, but with the Spark House, too.

About Helena Hunting
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of PUCKED, Helena Hunting lives on the outskirts of Toronto with her incredibly tolerant family and two moderately intolerant cats.
She writes contemporary romance ranging from new adult angst to romantic sports comedy.
This is book 2 in the series but it easily stands alone. In this story we also get to see a few cameo appearances by some of the authors previous Shacking Up series like Griff, Cosy and Linc. They are connected to Jackson, who is this books leading man and he introduces London to those characters.
London meets Jackson when she is invited to partner with a green business thats goal is to raise money for their initiatives and charities, She is in Colorado and Jackson is based in NYC. But he is expanding into Colorado so his firm wants to bring London and her sisters in to partner with them as they host events in Colorado.
Essentially Jackson and London begin a business only relationship as they work on this event together. He has a firm rule about mixing business and romance and so while he is in heavy like with London he forbids himself in getting personally involved with London until their business concludes.
I loved the first 60-70% of the story. In it we explore their business relationship as they fall for each other and then when it concludes we also get to see them date and spend time together romanticly.
But then this woman that Jackson works with forms a sort of love triangle with Jackson and London. Jackson never cheats and we never see him get romantic with this other woman, its more about their past together than anything else and Jackson hides some things from London.
This is my issue with this woman, Jackson refuses to even kiss London until their business relationship ends but this other woman works with him in a significant way as she runs their social media, she is also a family friend and he also had a romantic relationship with her. This for me was a big issue. He was fine mixing business and personal with her but he was not okay doing it with London.
What I do like is that after this is discovered, London dumps Jackson and won't listen to him and making up takes a lot of effort. I loved that it was not a quick fix and she makes him really work for it.
As a whole I enjoyed this story a lot. I hated the slight triangle and had some questions about it. But if I ignore that part of the story I loved the early part of Jackson and London's relationship and even the ending.
