I am a huge fan of this authors writing and so I really could not wait to read this story. In addition, I love the character of Leo and Tate from reading other Mason Creek stories and have been really excited to read their story.
This is a small town romance about the town good guy, Leo finally getting his dream girl, Tate to see him and agree to date him and fall for him. In addition we also get to see what happens with Sadie and Wyatt from Perfect Risk, and Will and Miley from Perfect Mistake.
Tate is the town gossip girl. She writes a blog and everything that happens in town she shares with her blog. But what very few know is that her father is an alcoholic who treats Tate and her mom terribly. Hiding her terrible home life has kept Tate distant from her friends and dating. She has this big secret that she hides and one that is very humiliating.
Leo is a sweetheart. He is everyones friends, a really awesome guy who has many friends but his heart is set on Tate even though she ignores him and refuses to see him socially. But he knows that she is the woman for him. And this is his story, how he convinces Tate to give him a shot and it was a very tough road to get her to see that she deserves love and happiness.
The author did a great job showing us Tate up close and personal and showing us her beautiful soul. The road to love for Tate was not easy. In fact I cried a few tears for her because her father was just so toxic for Tate and her mom. And it was a rough road and I loved that Leo never gave up on her. This is the story about loving yourself and never giving up on true love. I really loved it so much.
