This is a new author for me but its a new writing author pairing of Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black. Both authors are one of my favorites and so I was excited to check them out with their new author name. This is the start of a new series and the first book is about Finn Royal. I loved this story so much and cannot wait to read about his partner, Weston Prince.
Club Pivot is a club that best friends Finn and Weston co-own. They are single and hot guys and they are having a blast with their life. That is until Finn gets a call that his brother, his wife and their unborn child have died in a terrible car accident and that now the only survivor is their 3-year old daughter, Hadley.
Finn has no experience with kids so he calls his trusty assistant to find him help and she recommends her niece, London. And thats how London ends up as the live in nanny for Hadley and her uncle Finn.
This was a well written story and I did love the characters. Finn is a bossy, distant uncle that London ends up having to work to get to be open and loving with his young niece, She is sweet, kind but also is flirty, sexy, and one tough cookie. This is a bit of a forbidden story as Finn and London try hard to resist the cliche nanny and boss attraction.
It was an enjoyable romance but there were no real surprises or elements that were different from any other nanny storyline. Essentially its a good girl falls for the forbidden, bad boy who doesn't do relationships. I enjoyed the story but I wanted a twist in the story or something that would make it a different nanny romance than other ones I have read before.
