In this book we meet 23-year-old artist, Carlee and 35-year-old injured seal, Zane. He has lost his hearing and is at Oakside to learn the tools he needs to live his life. She is there to teach art therapy. 

He becomes her student. And they have a bit of insta lust/love from the very first scene and it's a bit of an age gap, though Carlee seems very mature for her age. 

This is not a light read. There are lots and lots of drama, very little angst but lots of drama. There are also some scenes that made me smile, laugh, giggle and sigh but also a few scenes that brought tears to my eyes.

It is a bit of a novella and a fast read. It was great seeing the characters from Oakside again as I have missed them and loved seeing how they are doing.
