In this book we get to know Maverick as he meets his one. This is not a story where he knows that right off. It's more of a slow burn as they slowly get to know each other and go from friends to lovers. 

Stella is new to town with her adorable young child. She moves in with her grandparents and doesn't have a home or even a job. When she meets Maverick, he helps her out with her car and treats her pretty awesomely. Then she ends up getting a job and her life gets really great. I love that they don't get involved right away and it's more like a crush until her life gets more stability. Maverick really is so great with her and Ada, her daughter. 

This was a great single mom, small town romance.  Its a very light read and perfect to read on a relaxing day or at the beach or pool. I felt it was more realistic than other books in this series in that it wasn't like he knew she was his, it was more organically as he got to know her and fell for her as they become best friends. While I love the love at first sight, its hard to find and the slower burn is more realistic.
