Promise Me This - Wilder Family #3 - by Karla Sorensen (Ian and Harlow)
I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is Ian Wilder's story and it's not a light read. It's the after when his father has passed away and its full of love, family, friendship and siblings. In this book we meet Ian's best friend from childhood, Harlow. And while he helps her as she is single parent, she helps him in dealing with his siblings and the passing of the family's beloved father.
Ian and Harlow grew up together and were only ever best friends, but they were so attached that when they were going off to college, they decided they needed a break from each other so they could follow their career paths. This led to Ian moving to England and Harlow ends up as a single parent. Seventeen years later they both come home. For Ian it's a hard transition because he now works with his siblings, his father has just died, and he is very much a loner. For Harlow she comes home but has always had a difficult family relationship, but she wants her daughter around family.
This is a really slow burn story but also one about soulmates and two people who belong together finding each other and finding their hearts belong to each other. It's also about complicated relationships and making them work because family is family.
This story is amazing, and I totally adored it. It made me smile, cry, sigh and I could not put it down. The author poured her heart and soul into this story and the characters, and it was an amazing story. I LOVE Harlow and Ian and Sage.
