Sawyer Roarke was my best friend.

 This book was absolutely terrific. I am an avid romance reader and I am in my 50's. This book was about a couple high school kids and I adored it. The only thing I hated is that I wanted more on Sawyer and Blair's college life. 

It is a story about two teens who grew up together because their dads were best friends and worked together. But their family life was very different. Blair's mom abandoned her in a very selfish way and its hurt Blair her entire life. Meanwhile Sawyer, grew up with two very loving parents who were always there for him. Blair and Sawyer were best friends but things go very wrong for them in middle school. Blair betrays Sawyer and he hurts her so badly that it causes her to destroy their relationship.

Meanwhile Sawyer has no clue why it happened and why Blair betrayed their friendship so badly but from that point on he made her life miserable. Now as a senior, Blair has grown into her beauty and she is so strong that he and his friends cannot hurt her anymore. Its their senior year and she has to survive that to go away to college and escape Sawyer and his friends.

Sawyer starts to ask the tough questions about what happened and he won't quit until he finds out why Blair hurt him so bad. He realises he doesn't want to hurt anymore but sometimes thats just not enough, as his bullying has gotten so bad that Blair has a tough time believing anything he says.

This was an angysty, hate to love and love to hate story. It was beautiful and so sweet and romantic and I absolutely loved every single minute, even when they torture each other.
