ABOUT THE BOOK
In the middle of a crowded bar in our small Alaskan town, my estranged wife snuggles up to me as if we’re still a happy couple.
Don’t get me wrong, we were a happy couple—before she walked out on me a year ago. We were the high school sweethearts everyone thought were destined to be together forever. We thought so too, which is why we married shortly after graduation.
We had a good marriage. Until she left me without any real explanation.
Now, she’s back—and this is the real kicker—she has amnesia and thinks I’m still her husband. Technically I am, although the divorce papers are sitting at the lawyer’s office.
She’s desperate to remember her life in Sunrise Bay but I only want to find out why she left me. Once we conjure that memory up, it’s sayonara because there’s no second chances here. But as you probably already figured out, things didn’t go quite as I planned.

This is book 2 in the series and I adore it so much. I might even love it more than the Bailey series. Before I start this review I want to beg the author to write a story for Cora and Toby. I adored them in this story. They grew up with both Lucy and Adam and are their best friends and I totally fell hard for them.
If you read the first book it ends with Adam who was broken hearted in the first book finally moving on with his new girl friend Alicia when he suddenly find his current wife who left him in front of him and she doesn't remember that she left him.
And this book picks up from that point on and well lets say that Adam is in a pickle. He has loved Lucy since they were both 13 and they got married and pretty much lived happily ever after until one day she says that she is unhappy and leaves him. She doesn't give a reason and she breaks his heart. He is finally coming to terms with it when she comes back and has no clue why she left him. She has no memories of anything and so she comes to Alaska hoping to find out who she was. And well Adam wants to keep his heart safe, but she is Lucy, its a really hard thing for him to be asked to do.
This book has a really different feel then the others in that it deals with some very serious subjects. These two are soulmates, what could be so awful that Lucy felt she had to leave? And divorce is really hard of the individuals and also on their families. Lucy has been a Greene since she was 13 and so the Greene's felt almost as bad as Adam did and with her coming back, they are happy but also apprehensive.
Lucy herself doesn't remember anything about herself so for her this is a journey of discovery and with any journey there is always pitfalls. Things you find you don't like and maybe even want to change and maybe even can't. I liked how she sort of challenged herself and tried to be a better person than maybe she previously was.
This was a wonderful addition to the series and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Adam and Lucy as time goes by and his siblings find love. Nikki is the next sibling up and I cannot wait for her story. I like that we see a bit more of her in this book than we did in the first book.
