COCKY DOC
BY SAMANTHA LIND

I was minding my own business at my new job as a child life specialist when the sexiest doctor in the hospital fell into my lap... literally.

He was every woman’s fantasy, the Adonis in a white coat was charming, not to mention brilliant.

Dr. Andrew “Drew” Montgomery was quite the catch, not the usual type of guy who I’d expect to fall for a woman like me.

The first man who saw past my wheelchair, Drew was also the first man I could see myself settling down with.

We started dating, and everything seemed fine, but something was holding him back, Drew was married to his job and he carried the weight of his namesake. A name I wasn’t sure I could live up to.

I meant to keep my guard up, but it was no use. I was in over my head the moment his gorgeous blue eyes thoroughly examined me.

I knew my body was in good hands, but could I trust my heart with the cocky doctor?

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a really interesting and original story. On one hand I really enjoyed it and loved the characters. On the other hand I felt some issues were never dealt with and discussed. Things that would be important for a long term relationship.

Drew is a hot cardiologist who is very busy and has a great life. He meets Meghan, a new employee who works with patients in helping them deal with life or death issues and falls for her and her him.

Sounds great right? Well what makes this story very different is that Meghan has Muscular Distrophy and is in a wheel chair. She can use her legs but they are very weak so she is essentially wheel chair bound. I felt the wheelchair issues were never discussed and its a big part of a relationship and it would affect every relationship they have romantically and also in relation to having children in a long term relationship. This really never was discussed or even ever was an issue.

The story told here includes a very sick little girl who needs a new heart and Drew helps her get a new heart and Maghan is very supportive and his work with this little girl. I adored this aspect of the story and I loved how great these two were together.

This was a heartwarming addiction to this series, however I never felt Drew was a typical cocky doctor, so maybe the Cocky part is because its part of the Cocky World that Vi keeland created.
