Hopelessly Perfect by S.E. Rose

Falling in love is one thing that you can’t control.

Lanie Moore likes her life to be perfect.
Perfect job.
Perfect house.
Perfect everything.
She doesn’t have time for a love life.

Brixton Crane flies by the seat of his pants. Permanent plans aren’t his thing. This world traveler just planted some roots near his childhood home.

When a sick child needs their help, the careful Lanie and the free-wheeling Brixton agree to work together.

But neither expected that their perfect match might just be their polar opposite.

And if they’re brave enough to tear down their walls, the perfect love might be the one once deemed imperfect.

I absolutely adored this 2nd book in the Moore Family series. The first book featured Kent, the baseball playing son and he met Tabi and they fell in love. In this story we get to know Tabi's brother the doctor, Brixton. And he is thrown together with Lanie Moore, Kent's sister.

When Lanie was young she had Cancer and beat the odds to got better. Now all grown up she is a kick ass lawyer and now a judge has assigned her to help a foster kid with Cancer and guess who is his doctor? Yep Brixton.

This was a heart warming and fun romance with some very serious overtones in dealing with Cancer as a child. Lanie kicked Cancer's butt but inside she has many scars  both on her body but also on her mind. She has to fight for her happy ever after and sometimes that will mean fighting even herself.

This author is a wonderful writer and has a gift fr creating characters I have fallen in love with. This story has a bit of insta love/lust in it as both Brixton and Lanie really like each other but struggle with making it happen so it has a slow burn quality to the story. Its a story about love, family and friendship.
