This is my first time reading this author and series. However it is book 4 in the series but I found it easily to follow along and it stands alone nicely though you might want to read the previous books in the series.
This is a story about Max who is a rock star in a band called Half Moon. He runs into his ex, Valerie at a press conference. She now has her dream job as a reporter but takes off after the conference to avoid seeing or talking to him as he hurt her very badly in their past.
But Max realises how she is different and he wants her back and this is his bid to make her fall for him again. However he kinda makes things difficult for her in his bid for her heart and so the story is also a bit on the forbidden side as she is supposed to write articles on the band and not be emotionally involved with him.
It was a hot romance and I really liked Max a lot. He is hot and sexy and a sweetheart but he wants what he wants and he doesn't think out the things he does as he wants Valerie to give him a real shot.
I really enjoyed the story and will go back and read the other books in the series as I really enjoyed getting to know the characters of Half Moon.
