ABOUT THE BOOK
So, I tell off the cocky stranger I’m trapped in an elevator with. I never expected he’d turn out to be my new boss.
Crap.
Our first encounter is a disaster.
He blames me for the mechanical failure.
Technically, he’s right, but I’m unwilling to concede.
As the minutes tick by, he decides to put the moves on me.
Seriously?
We’re trapped in the dark, and he’s flirting?!
Beckett—that’s his name—is a presumptuous and
arrogant bastard.
So what if his deep, sexy voice turns my inside to
the consistency of molten chocolate lava cake? This isn’t the time or the place, Casanova.
To shut him up, I tell him off.
When the nightmare is finally over, I can’t get
away from him fast enough.
With a good riddance on my lips, I clack my
designer high heels on the floor, and dash off without so much as a goodbye.
I’m forced to eat my words when I step into a
life-changing meeting-slash-interview, and I’m face-to-face with the man I thought I’d never see again.
He's my new billionaire mogul boss-slash-client?!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Meet Scarlett Avery
I live in the Great North (aka Canada)!
I’m a USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR and an Amazon Bestseller author!
Here’s the reason I step into my dream every single morning when I wake up:
“Some books you read. Some books you enjoy. But some books just swallow you up, heart and soul.” — Joanne Harris (Author of the award-winning novel, Chocolat)
I muse about dangerously loving and fierce alphas and the sassy women who bring them down to their knees.
I write sultry, sensual and steamy romance novels, laced with kinks. I’ll admit my novels are scorching hot, but if you can’t push the boundaries between the pages of a book, it’s just not fun.
I’m constantly walking around with new stories/dialogues floating in my head. I consider myself lucky I get to spend my days dreaming up the most delicious alphas in romance. I love every minute of it!
On a personal note…
I have a serious love affair with Italian gelato, ice cream, pound cake, white chocolate and Macadamia nut cookies, peanut butter cookies, and Martinis. I could live off French or Italian charcuterie boards. California Chardonnay? Thank you, God!
Like most women, I have way more shoes than I need, but it’s so hard to resist getting new ones. If you’ve read my books, you know I have an obsession with high heels, hence the photo at the top. At 5’9, I hardly need more height, and God knows I can’t walk like a lady with anything higher than 2 1/2 inches, but I drool all over them, and admire women who can rock heels. That’s why I live vicariously through my main female characters who wear 4 and even 5-inch heels with elegance and poise.
I hold two University degrees in two different languages from two of the two prestigious international business schools. Just like Sofia and Ciara, the main female characters of my first two romance books, I speak several languages.
Since publishing my first book, I’ve been blessed with an insanely awesome group of faithful readers. I love those ladies so much. Their passion for my books makes the very, very long hours rewarding.

This is my first time reading this author and wow I am so impresses. Beckett is a long book but it was so much fun and I got many surprises along the way, because its an author I had never read before.
Beckett is a bit of a playboy when the book begins. His best friend and business partner bets him that he cannot go 30 days without a little action. And the bet is for a four hundred thousand dollar bike that Beckett covets. Thats when the fun starts.
Beckett meets Arianne in an elevator and they both go their separate ways but they can't stop thinking about each other. That is until they run into each other and he becomes her latest client and he hires her to help his company. And thats when the hot times begin.
There were some surprises while reading the story and I loved them. I also loved how Beckett really builds up Arianne because her ex and cousin are a bit of a nightmare.
This book is VERY HOT. There are LOTS of hot times in this story. If you enjoy that in your books, then you will adore this story. It was a really wonderful and intense story with two people who work together.
