This is a single view point romance between a woman, Blue, who works on an animal rescue ranch in Ojai, California. Her life changes in a big way when she is asked to provide shelter and a community service for a movie star who is just out of rehab, Aiden who will come work on the ranch while his brother, Shane provides protection for him.
This story was really different. There is a romance but its not the focal point of this story. What is the focal point of this story is about Blue. This is a story about Blue who ran away from Los Angeles after she was attacked. She now lives and works on a ranch but she is also hiding away from life and relationships and connections. Her life changes in a big way when Hollywood comes to the ranch.
She falls for this guy but she also really sees him as he is. I loved her quirky personality and how she describes herself and others by comparing them to animals. In this story she has to accept her past and move past it to risk her heart. Aiden and Shane also have a very complicated past and as life on a ranch is never easy, they also learn forgiveness and moving on.
This was a very well written story, written in only Blue's POV. Its fun and interesting but I would have wanted more romance in the story. But its really a tale about three people who have to learn to move on from their pasts to find forgiveness for themselves and each other.
