Dear Grumpy Boss by Julia Wolf (Elise and Weston)

ABOUT THE BOOK

I've spent the better part of the last few years successfully avoiding my brother's best friend, Weston Aldrich.

As CEO of Andes, Inc, the infuriatingly handsome and incessantly grumpy Weston also happens to be my new boss.

It shouldn't have been hard to continue avoiding him. After all, he's on the executive floor and I'm one of many copywriters.

Weston has his own ideas about how things should go between us. He's in my emails, leaving notes on my desk, and as if that's not enough, he arranges for me to accompany him on a business trip.

That leads to stolen touches, frenzied kisses, and the undeniable need to work each other out of our systems.

That always works, right?

Except now that I know what it feels like to have Weston Aldrich appreciate every inch of my abundant curves, avoiding him is impossible.

But he's my brother's best friend.

And a workaholic.

We have to stop.

And we will. Soon.

Just...not yet.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a forbidden romance between Weston and Elise/Ellie. Lise who is his best friend's little sister. When she learns something horrible about her boyfriend she runs home and ends up working at West's company.

This is a story very much about siblings and their relationships. Weston has a brother, Miles and Elliot is Elise's older brother. In this book we see how their relationships differ and cause jealousies that go back to their youth.

While Elise ends up at the same company as West, she does not work directly for him, he has his own assistant, Renata. Miles also works there and so he does get jealous of the friendship that Elise and Miles have formed when he has unresolved feelings for her.

The forbidden aspect of this romance was really about being his besties little sister who he and all his friends have protected and facing his feelings for her. Elise loves her brother and never wants to come between West and her brother. So these two decide to have a fling but things shall we say get complicated.

This story was very well told, and I enjoyed it. I loved Elise a lot and how she felt about her body. She was so awesome, and I loved how she fought for herself in relation to her ex, with Miles, Weston and even Elliott. She was absolutely the best part of the book. I was sometimes very frustrated by West and how he acts. He seemed very wish washy at times but what I did like about him was that he knew Elise was this awesome person.

I loved the ending, and I LOVED Miles so much, along with Luca and Elise's best friend. This was a really wonderful romance if you love the forbidden best friend trope.
