I prefer to call myself a storyteller rather than an author. I'm a mom to two beautiful little girls and a wife to an incredibly supportive husband. My days start with caffeine and sometimes end with a glass (or three) of wine.
I'm a Texas raised Indian American currently living in the Bay Area. With a degree in Computer Science and an MBA, I've had a successful career building software products but writing is both my hobby and my passion.
For me, writing and reading are an escape from real life. I love meeting and creating characters who I'd love to take out for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. My goal as a storyteller is to distract my readers from their daily grind with stories about everyday couples finding and fighting for incredible love with the help of a little luck.

This is book 2 in the series but easily stands alone. I did read the first book, Adrift which has both Garrett and Bella both in that book. This story takes place about 4 years later after the events that happened in Adrift.
In Ascend we get to know Bella a lot more than as a friend and cousin to Rani (heroine in Adrift) who ended up pregnant after a one-night stand. Garrett we also get to know much better as more than just Darian's (hero in Adrift) playboy brother.
This is a marriage convenience with a single mom romance trope, but it was a wonderful story that had some awesome characters and adorable little girl that both main characters love. It also has exes that stir up lots of trouble that takes these two friends/relatives and brings them closer together.
Garrett fell had for Bella in Adrift, but she had so much going on that they only had been good friends until this book. Garrett sees an opening and he wants Bella and her daughter so much that he takes his one shot with her. I loved him so much. He was adorable with Meera, and I really was totally rooting for him to win Bella's heart.
