This is the story about Raven and Connor Jackson. If you read the previous book, Perfect Storm, then you met Connor and Raven. At the end of Perfect Storm, there is a very bad fire and Connor saves his brother and Raven. You also know from that book that they HATE each but also work together at a hospital, he is a nurse, and she is a doctor.

In this book we get to see the recovery and aftermath and we also learn all Ravens secrets and why she pushes Connor away and more about how they really feel for each other. My heart kind of hurt for Connor because he has real feelings for Raven and yet she is one tough cookie and constantly pushes him away. 

There is some drama in this story relating to Raven's mother. But it made the story more exciting and really better explained why Raven was the way she was and feared relationships. I loved the addition of Lex to the story and cannot wait to see what happens with him and Frankie.
