This is book 3 in the series and stars Spike who is best friends with Carter and Zach and they all three work together at Rebel Ink. This story easily stands alone though while I enjoyed it, I found it much darker than the previous two books in the series.

Kas is Zach's newly discovered twentyish half sister and she is in TROUBLE with some really bad dudes. Spike sees her at a strip club and tries to rescue her but she needs  alot of money very fast.

I have really enjoyed the first two books in the series because I really enjoyed the romance aspect. In this story, the romance takes a back seat to the violence in this story. It is very dark and there were some scenes that were on the violent side. 

That said I loved Kas and Spike together. In previous books Spike was a playboy I guess you can say and he loved going to strip clubs. He is also much older that Kas and so this is an age gap story as well. But Kas is very mature and she is dealing with very mature issues and she is one tough cookie that never gives up. I absolutely adored her as well. Together her and Spike  were terrific together.

I really loved reading there story, it was just the darker aspects I did not love.
