Our Star-Crossed Kiss - Piper Rayne

ABOUT THE BOOK

She’s got two strikes against her.
Her name is Erickson and her parents own The Bagel Place.

It wasn’t always that way. When we were nine, we were best friends. But then a feud between our dads ripped their successful business apart—and my best friend was ripped away too.

Our paths were bound to cross again. When both our families vie for the same spot on a Food Channel’s reality show, the producers decide to change the format, aligning us as allies.

In order to get our parents to agree to work together, Evan asks me to pretend to be her boyfriend, but I dare her to up the ante—be my fiancรฉe. Fake fiancรฉe… obviously.

As usual, I didn’t think things through. Turns out our parents have a lot of demands neither one of us expected.  And all those demands lead to things feeling more real than fake.

This is Seth and Evan's story and I absolutely loved it. Its actually my absolute favorite in the series. It had depth and real issues and I loved the plot line.

Evan's parents own the bagel shop in town. Seth's parents own the place where they sell the best cream cheese in town. Many years before the two families shared a business, the moms were friends and the kids liked each other. But that all changed when the dads had a falling out. And now they hate each other on principal. But sometimes life throws you some real curve balls and you need your friends. Thats the great message about this book.

Things come to ahead for the two businesses when they enter a best of town sort of tv show and they love Evan's bagels and Seth's cream cheese. So they have to do the show together and with the families at war they come up with a brilliant idea. And thats how they end up dating....

This book was fun and sweet and hot and absolutely adored Evan and Seth together. I loved watching Evan find some outside life and join in friendship with Seth's friends. And I loved how Seth wanted to show Evan how she could have a life beyond bagels.
