I absolutely adored this story. It is book 3 in the series within a series, featuring the kids of the original series. This is Maizie's story and she is the daughter of John and the nanny he fell in love with who run the inn on the ranch. She is now 25 and lives at the inn and is the head chef.
One night she goes out drinking and has a one night stand with a guy who is older than her, Gavin who is 35. She thinks he is passing thru, but he is actually in town about a job.
Turns out Gavin ends up working for her uncle Jackson (her father is his twin). Gavin sees Maizie and wants more from her than that one night but she pretends she cannot remember him. This was one of my favorite parts of the story as Gavin tries to get her to remember him and she refuses to remember him. Until one New Years Eve....
I absolutely loved this story so much. Gavin and Maizie were hot but also fun together and she definitely gives him the run around. I loved when Gavin makes her earn his interest and this was the most romantic part of the story.
I really am loving this series. This story was pretty awesome and I absolutely adored it.
