This story is about Rip and MacKenna who have known each other almost their entire lives thru a friendship Kenna had with his younger sister. This is a story about friendship, love, growing up and facing your hurts and the things life throws at you. Its about fate and soulmates and finding your heart and holding onto it but also letting it go. It was a wonderful stand alone story from the author that takes place in a small town.
Kenna had big dreams and her and Rip had big crushes on each other but because Kenna wanted to be a lawyer he has waited for her to come home with her law degree before he chases her and wins her heart. Thats how much Rip loves Mac, that he wants her to get her dreams first and he waited for her to come home and never wanted to get in the way of that.
Kenna has a really rough time seeing that in this story. Her parents abandoned her and treated her terribly that we see how even 20 years later that had such a big effect on her life and the way she perceives herself. She fights Rip and is terrified of trapping him and so she runs from him and her feelings a lot in this story.
But Rip loves her so much that he will do anything for her and I loved watching him win her heart. This is an awesome story of first love and only love and soulmates and finding the one. I positively loved it because it was super romantic and sweet and I adored Kenna and her Rip.
