This was a really awesome story. One of my favorite parts of it is that it takes us back to the original Big Sky families like the King's. We get to see Seth, Jillian, Ty, Cara, Zach, Fallon and all their kids as they are all teens. We also get to see the more recent Big Sky friends like Aspen, Liam, Callum, Nick, Jordan, Alice.
This is a story with Natasha and Sam. Sam has grown up in this small town his whole life and is a firefighter, he is ten years older than his sister and her bestie, Tash. This story starts off with a bang you can say. As Monica and her husband never make it home and her twins are left parentless. Tash and Sam are left in charge of the estate and co-guardians of 5 year old twins.
These two are super hot together and I loved reading about their great chemistry. They are also each others family and best friends and I adored that about this couple. In addition the twins and the pain of their loss brought them closer and I kept cheering for them as they face this huge loss together.
The author also explores how this huge loss didn't just affect them but how it affected their small town. I also adored watching their friends be there for them and the twins. This was a heart felt story that didn't just give me all the feels it also made me cry and laugh.
I loved how open and real Tash is with the twins and Sam. Her life changes in one second and she goes with that and totally changes her entire life. Sam, though older seemed very resistant to all those changes. I felt he was there when it was convenient but he also struggled with co-parenting and whether to follow his heart or his ambition.
