ABOUT THE BOOK
A sizzling enemies-to-lovers romance from USA Today bestselling author Harloe Rae where a billionaire CEO battles against a snarky redhead who has her own agenda.
“I’d say it’s nice to meet you, but I’ve never been a good liar.”
That’s his initial offense against me.
Don’t worry—there’s plenty more where that came from.
Landon Winters is colder than his last name suggests.
Cruel and callous too.
I’m certain he finds pleasure in making others miserable.
He’s a billionaire by his own making—not satisfied with simply inheriting a white collar and silver spoon.
Landon's arrogance is so thick I could choke on the stench alone.
He’s also responsible for gouging a jaded chip into my shoulder.
The only saving grace is never having to see him again.
Wishful thinking is a fickle beast.
My boss just announced that Landon is my latest client.
I’ll need to impress him or kiss my promotion goodbye.
Either way, this is my chance to get even.
Revenge is all I see.
The price for redemption is steep.
Landon will pay a small fortune in humiliation.
And I’ll walk away filthy rich in vindication.

This is a stand alone book by Harloe Rae, who is a new author for me. Though it looks like characters from other books are seen in this story. Her writing style was engaging and I found that the story flowed easily. I enjoyed meeting Savannah who went by Vannah in this story and business investor, Landon in this story.
Vannah is 23 and Landon is 29 in this story. They meet a year before at a friends wedding where shall we say they do NOT hit it off. V is fun and flirty and just trying to be nice when she meets grumpy and rude, Landon and so starts their adversary type of relationship.
The story then picks up a year later when they end having to work together when L comes to town and invests in some local businesses. She is hired as his realtor and he is her new client. Their work relationship starts off with a bit of hate and then a lot of lust. They never become friends and they have no real reason for the hate beyond L being a jerk.
Vannah is one tough and classy woman and she was the perfect foil to Landon's rude and snarky personality. Its not really personal, he is that way with everyone. Its up to her to tame him and she is into the challenge.
This was my favorite part of the story. She loves to irritate him and he loves to annoy her. I adored every time she calls him Lannie and puts him in his place. I laughed so much during those scenes and thats when I fell in love with both leads.
This story is billed as a hate to love storyline and I found it more about Beauty and the Beast, more of where he is very dark and unhappy and thinks everyone wants to use him and his money and she is the beauty and full of sunshine and happiness and she hopes to rub off on him.
They also have to work together romance, so its also a finding atttraction/lust/love at work, though Landon is very anti all that.
It was well written and I enjoyed watching Vannah tame her beast while torturing him a little bit. There was humor and hotness as well and it worked really great in this story.
