This is a new author for me but the description of the story sounded so good that I could not wait to check it out. It is also a stand alone, second chance at love between a best friends little sister  and a very grumpy rich man. It is told with THEN and NOW scenes so we get the present and the past to give the reader the big picture.

This book was totally not what I expected in a storyline. This is a second chance romance with two soulmates. Julian knew Autumn since she was a baby and he was a foster kid who pretty much grew up with her brother and was a second son to Autumn's family. He has loved only her but 10 years ago he had to let her go so he could go and he did and said some horrible things to make her hate him. In ten years he has not seen or heard from her, in fact he ghosted her entire family, that is until she gets hired to help him have a better reputation. Once he does, lets say he wants her back and he will do just about anything to win her back. Which is why this story is really about a second chance with the woman and girl he has loved since she was born. 

I adored this book. I LOVED Julian. I adore second chance and especially soulmate stories and I loved every second of this story. It was fun, flirty, had hot scenes, surprises and had  family I adored. I also loved how Autumn made Julian work hard for her forgiveness and giving him a second chance.

This is the story about Callie and Jonah who we met in the previous book as Jonah is Reid's best friend, injured teammate and business partner. Callie is Reid's assistant and close family friend.  This book also easily stands alone.

In this story Reid is opening his fitness business and center and he has hired Callie to run the place. Jonah is injured and so he starts helping out as Callie starts setting up the new business.

Jonah is a football player but one who has a sad past that has really made him feel bad about himself and its why he has been single all these years until he starts to get to know Callie when they work together.

Jonah in this story falls hard for Callie, he is there to help her at work and he treats her to some fun dates. But he is also on the immature side as he has not really matured romantically since he has not dated anyone since high school.

I loved that once he goes all in, he goes all in and he is totally there for Callie. Callie is awesome. She is one tough cookie and her life has been hard but she can pretty much do anything that she decides she wants to do. And she really wants to understand Jonah as she falls hard for him too.

The big issue in this book is Jonah thinks he is not good enough for Callie and once she knows his past, that she will dump him. 

We all have mistakes we made in our pasts, especially in high school. This story was about love, family, forgiving oneself and moving on and taking chances at love, life and career. It was a wonderfully written story that I enjoyed.

This is book 3 in the series and I honestly think its the actual best one in the series. Each book does stand alone so you can read it without reading the previous one. 

The first book was from the last year of high school, the second was the college years and this book is the one where they are graduating. Who are they, they are 5 best friends who grew up in a small town in Texas and they call themselves The Magic Willows because they come from Willow Springs and the first initial of each girls name makes the word MAGIC. This is Maura Benson's story and she is the M in magic.

In Willow Springs the Benson's and the Carlisle families HATE each other. The fathers are in oil and they are rivals. But they also run an advertising company and that is where the oldest son, Crew Carlisle works and is running the company. They get an intern sent to their company and until her first day Crew does not find out it is the daughter of his families enemy, Maura Benson. 

Things come to ahead when Maura starts working alongside Crew and there are some big surprises as she gets out into the world. Things that will change her family forever. 

This was a fantastic story. It is well written and we really get to see all sides of this enemies to love romance which is also a highly forbidden story. I adored Crew and I loved how he and Maura would flirt and use the word charmed throughout this story.

Words cannot express how amazing the Magic Willow girls are in this story. They are absolutely something special and there were times the girls love for each other actually made me tear up.

 This is my first time reading this author and series. However it is book 4 in the series but I found it easily to follow along and it stands alone nicely though you might want to read  the previous books in the series.

This is a story about Max who is a rock star in a band called Half Moon. He runs into his ex, Valerie at a press conference. She now has her dream job as a reporter but takes off after the conference to avoid seeing or talking to him as he hurt her very badly in their past.

But Max realises how she is different and he wants her back and this is his bid to make her fall for him again. However he kinda  makes things difficult for her in his bid for her heart and so the story is also a bit on the forbidden side as she is supposed to write articles on the band and not be emotionally involved with him. 

It was a hot romance and I really liked Max a lot. He is hot and sexy and a sweetheart but he wants what he wants and he doesn't think out the things he does as he wants Valerie to give him a real shot.

 I really enjoyed the story and will go back and read the other books in the series as I really enjoyed getting to know the characters of Half Moon.

This was a really sweet romance. At times Liam drove me and Juliet a big crazy as he tries to fight the attraction. I loved his two little girls they were so adorable and sweet. I also loved Nana and her  her best friends. 

This was a really fun read and I enjoyed every second of it.

This is a story about Olivia and Ryder, both grew up and have lived in Mason Creek for most of their lives. She runs a lingerie store and he runs a jewelry store in town. They grew up together and dated in high school, went to college together, came home and married and have been married for seven years.

Things come to ahead when Olivia is ready for kids and Ryder wants to leave town and travel instead and so at the start of the book they are separated. They are mediating custody of their pet bird and its holding off their divorce because they both love the bird.

These two really love each other but both have huge secrets they are keeping from each other. HUGE! 

This is a story that asks the question "Is love enough?" It was a highly entertaining story with a cute bird and lots of wonderful characters from Mason Creek. I really loved Ryder and Liv. They are both awesome characters and Liv is this really wonderfully talented person who has been hiding who she is and I loved that to some degree she was still a mystery to Ryder. She is why I adored this book. She is strong, independent, has dreams and knows how to not let anything stop her from making her dreams reality. I really adored her.

Ryder was a tougher character to like. He is keeping a really big secret and I understood why it was a hard thing for him to share but also its something you should share with your wife. I also loved how much he loved his wife but I also felt at times he was immature and ran away from his problems. Not always but sometimes. I also got really annoyed at him about his reaction to Liv's secret and how he did not support her at a very important night for her. I really felt Liv should have made him suffer more for how he treated her when her secret is exposed.

But I did enjoy this story. Its light reading and a story that was well written and easily stands alone in the series. I also loved the ending and loved watching these two get their happily ever after.

“Your Royal Highness,” he says, his voice shaking with a fury to match mine, “you can do many things, but telling me how I feel isn’t going to be one of them. You might not believe my apology, and that’s your choice. But you do not get to tell me I’m not sorry. Because I am. I am so damn sorry that I can’t get what happened out of my head, and it’s been weeks since I last saw you. This isn’t like me. I’m not haunted by women or what I’ve done in my past, except for this. I can’t shake this, Bella. I can’t.”

“Why? Because I’m kind? Sweet? Xander and Christian’s cousin, so you feel bad? Do you feel guilty because, oh, poor Bella had her feelings hurt when you forgot she existed the second Victoria appeared in the room? Well, you’ve made your apology. I’ll never speak of this again, and I’ll always be nice to you when our paths cross. You are cleared. Your conscience is free.”

Camden’s lips part in utter surprise. “But that isn’t what I want.”

“You’re wrong,” he says, bracketing my face with his hands.

Camden stares down at me through his fringe of dark lashes. “I’ve been given a second chance by you, and I’m not wasting it. From this point on, I want to know what the hell I’m doing towards the end of the night. I want to wake up and know how I spent the night before. The way I used to drink and party is done. I can see there is more for me, Bella. There’s more.”

He picks up my hand and, in a sweet gesture, brings it to his lips and presses a feather-light kiss on it. My knees go weak, and it’s hard to stay upright when I feel his warm lips against my skin.

“That’s the only kiss I will give you this evening, I promise you that,” Camden says, his voice soft. “And if you will let me, Bella York, I’d be honoured to escort you to Frogmore House. I said I would keep my hands to myself, but I’d at least like to hold your hand for now. If you’re comfortable with that.”

“Then let’s go and see what the evening brings,” Camden says, smiling at me.

Book 2 is The Princess Pose and stars Princess Elizabeth with  Roman Lawler, a gardener that she met thru her newly engaged best friend and cousin in law to be, Clementine. She met him and crushed super hard on him but can a gardener fall for a princess and have a happily ever after? This story centered on love, can it last? In this book we explore the secrets of the York family and in the previous book we saw the secrets of the Chadwicks. I liked the first book so much more. I think that was because I fell in love instantly with Clementine and I never really felt that Liz's voice carried this story well. The author wrote in the first person but this story really needed Roman's voice as well.

Book 3 is Royal Icing is the story about the crown prince, Xander's path to love. In the previous book he dated India who he dated because she knew the royal life. I was so glad he dumped her and in this book he meets local baker Poppy Davies who was introduced in the previous book when Liz goes to her for a cake order and becomes a fan. In this story Poppy is working on the cake for Clementine's wedding to Christian and thats how Xander and her meet. In this story we also meet Camden who is a friend of Xanders and who ends up meeting his single cousins and causing some issues. This one was the best one in the series, and I absolutely adored Xander and Poppy. I might even have liked it more than the first book. It was flirty and fun and had awesome characters and was very romantic. In addition there are some things that happen that affect Xander's life and will carry on into the next book.

 This the Modern Royals Series, 4 books about the Chadwick siblings who are princes and their cousins, the York's who are princesses. I had never read this author before but I love royal romances so I was excited to check the books and stories out.

The family of Chadwick includes King Arthur, Queen Antonia, and they have three sons, the crown prince Xander, his younger prince brother Christian and James the baby of the family. 

Christian is featured in the first book, Xander in the third and James has not been written yet.

The kings brother is Prince Henry(also a Duke) and he is part of the York family, his wife is Arabella is a duchess they have three princess daughters, Elizabeth (age 23), Isabella (age 22) and Victoria (age 20). 

Elizabeth's story is in book 2 and this is book 4 and it stars Princess Bella. Victoria's book has also not been written yet.

Book 4  is the newest book coming out and its called Pitch to the Palace and it features Princess Bella and Camden. And after reading Royal Icing I could not wait for this story. All of the stories stand alone pretty much but I think you should definitely read Royal Icing first so you get to see Bella and Camden's first meeting as its an important aspect to this story. Plus other things happen in that book that affect the story in this book as well

Princess Bella is the middle child. She has size F boobs and has never loved her body. She likes to hide her body because she is not tall and skinny. She meets her brothers friend Camden who is interested in the history and artifacts of England and they hit it off until her younger sister shows up and then he goes crazy for her and spends the evening with her. This breaks Bella's heart. But when he dates Victoria it all fizzles. In this story, he has learned he made a huge mistake so he begs Bella for a second chance and wants her to see the real him and not the image he projects. Can he get a second chance? You will have to read and find out.

This story has several themes to the story. One of the top themes is about body image and the way the press and social media are just cruel and bullies. Another theme is waiting to have a relationship when its right. Many times in the story either a main character or supporting character was just not quite ready for the love they could have faced and the message in this story is that it is okay to wait until the time is right. Another message is that you can make the change in your life if its not working for you. Facing your past or your mistakes or your hurts is hard but its better than hiding who you are and that if you are not happy with who you are, you can always change and grow.

This was a really wonderful story. The main characters are on the young side in their early twenties and so they all make mistakes but they grow. I loved the writing and the characters and I am totally hooked on this series and this author.
