This is my first time reading this author and wow I am so impressed. I absolutely adored this romance so much. Its prob the best single parent romance I have read in a long time.
This story features Courtney Sweet, who is single mom of a ten-year-old boy named Jesse. Courtney has relatives around helping her and works as a bookkeeper and at her family's bakery.
We also meet single dad Richard, who is a color-blind pilot of a ten-year-old daughter named Avery. He has no family helping out and is at the mercy of babysitters.
These two single parents meet when Jesse throws a rock at Avery and she ends up with missing teeth. And so, starts the fireworks between these two parents.
I felt this book had a theme. That you have to decide in life whether to follow your heart or listen to your brain. I loved that message and how it was portrayed throughout the book.
This was such a sweet romance, and it was so adorable. I absolutely loved every page in this story. I also loved the aspect of a cookbook that Courtney has and the recipes she ends up making with and for the kids in this story.
