Making Her Mine by Monica Murphy

ABOUT THE BOOK

Making Her Mine by Monica Murphy is now live!

Beck Callahan.

Star defensive Lineman.

Most popular boy on campus.

One of my best friends.

He's always been off limits because I know a relationship with him could never work. Like, ever. He's too perfect, too sweet, too good looking. Taking what we have a step further has the potential to ruin everything, and his friendship is too important to me.

So I keep it friendly, always with my feelings locked up tight. We talk. We date other people.

Until the beginning of senior year, one night at a party. When lines are blurred and eventually crossed. It was the best night of my life. A night I will never forget. Or regret. It's all I can think about. He's all I can think about.

But I'm also a little spooked. Beck says all the right things, and his sweet words make me feel...everything. He's determined to make me his.

Should I let him? Or do I risk losing him as my boyfriend and my best friend?

This is the last book in the Callahan books. It's about the baby in the family Beck. It's a best friend to lover story and I really enjoyed it. I have enjoyed reading the College Years series, so I was excited to read Beck's story, but I had not read the Callahan series before and even though it was my first read in this series I felt it stood alone very well.

As the book begins Beck has a girlfriend. An older girl who is off to college. Addie, who is Joselyn's baby sister is longtime friends with Beck. Jos got pregnant and had a baby in high school. So, her mom is a bit crazy about Addie not ending up pregnant and she is very much a helicopter mom and watches her every move. At the start of this story Addie is single and is broken up from her last boyfriend.

These two who grew up together and who had crushes on each other finally are single together and they have to decide to see if they can have more. I loved watching these two together. You can see how much they mean to each other.

Liam was a bit of a jerk in this story. He wants Addie because he resents Beck who is his friend. So, Addie does have choices and I loved how she never lets Liam push her into anything she does not want.

These two are really super sweet and adorable together and I really enjoyed watching these two explore their feelings for each other.
