Just a Kiss By Samantha Lind

ABOUT THE BOOK

It all started with just a kiss.

The first was ten years ago in high school.

Our second was in a bar on the dance floor.

We agreed to keep things casual.

But we were like a fire burning behind closed doors.

Those sparks had me wanting more.

When I took a shot in the dark and asked for more, it brought us to the ultimate crossroads.

Do we do things right, with just a kiss goodbye?

Or do we do things right, with a kiss goodnight?

This was originally a short story that the author expanded. Its also book two in a series about childhood friends who find love. The authors first book is "Rumor Going 'Round (Lyrics and Love Book 3)" and features Tucker and Lindsay and their story. Their two best friends are Lee and Allison, and this is their story.

It begins in high school, and we get to see all four characters as they attend prom. The story then picks up 10 years later. Both Tucker and Lee are firefighters. Lee is single  and just into one-night stands. He and Allison shared a kiss at prom but never had more than that until one night ten years later when hanging out together they have another magical kiss.

But Lee only wants a friends with benefits and while Allison wants that too, how long can a friends with benefits last?  This story is about growing up and wanting more out of life, love and the one you are with.

I loved Rumor and I really enjoyed this story. But at times I wasn't sure Lee really deserved Allison. I really liked how strong Allison is and how she has no problem asking for what she needs from Lee. She was such an awesome character and really made this book for me.
