Dylan
My future was all mapped out.
Graduate high school.
Get drafted.
Make a professional hockey team’s roster.
Marry my high school sweetheart.
I had it all within my grasp;
Everything was falling into place.
Except for the distance,
And our conflicting schedules.
How can we both follow our dreams when the roads keep taking us in different directions?
Hailey
My future was all mapped out.
Graduate high school.
Graduate Med-School.
Land my dream residency.
Marry my high school sweetheart.
My dream took me to the opposite coast, but my heart just wasn’t in it anymore.
Could I find a new path to my goal and still find happiness?
Was thinking we could make this work just another rookie move?

This is part of a series but it stands alone. In it introduces two brand new characters, Dylan and his girl friend Hailey. Dylan is the new rookie to the team. Its very different from other books in the series as he is just 20 and she is 19. They have been dating for five years and have juggled schooling, college and now the pros while being in love and very committed.
The author did a great job telling their story which happens during Hailey's winter break and includes holiday celebrations with their families and into the summer. These two kids are pretty awesome and have some big decisions ahead of them when Dylan is brought to Indianapolis and Hailey is in college in California.
This story is about Dylan's first year with the Indianapolis Lightning and how he juggles a long distance girlfriend, love, hockey. family and friendships. It also shows us Hailey's life as a college coed and how she juggles life, school, boyfriend, and hockey.
Its a very light story but also very romantic and I highly enjoyed getting to know these characters and watching them interact with other characters from this series.
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
