I absolutely loved this story about Tide and Aria in the series about Ruby Falls. The first book in the series followed Colton and Gia who are also featured in this story. Now Tide who is Colton's best friend gets his own romance and story and I loved Aria for him. It is also a stand alone story.
Tide is a single guy and runs his own construction company in his small town of Ruby Falls. He is a divorced dad from his ex wife Anna. They don't have the best relationship but both are awesome with their young daughter, Olivia.
Aria is a best selling author who grew up in Ruby Falls and while its what she thinks of as home she has family in town but has awful relationships with them. She is also just divorced so she wants to come home to the place she grew up in. She knew Tide in school but he didn't know she existed. She comes home and buys a fixer upper and hires Tide to help her and that's how they connect.
I really adored this story. Aria and Tide become friends and from there they become romantically involved but its never casual. They both see each other and realize what a treasure each one is and they really appreciate each other and show a lot of growth and patience as their relationship grows. I really liked that they both are mature and deal with each other like adults.
Its a fun and light story with lots of flirtations between Tide and Aria. Its a standalone and I have really loved these Ruby Falls books by the author. Its also not insta love but its definitely like and it was fun watching their relationship grow.
