My eyes widened. He wants me to go into the office when the door is closed? My imagination went wild as I thought about what would happen behind closed doors.
Marius would lock the door behind me after I entered his office, pushing me up against the wall as he firmly pressed his lips on mine. A passionate kiss that would take my breath away. He would pin my wrists above my head, then kiss down the crook of my neck, down my dรฉcolletage to my chest. Unbuttoning my top would reveal a black lace bra holding up my breasts. His eyes would darken with the intensity of knowing he could claim me and possess me however he wanted to. I’d always complained about doing his tasks and errands, but this would be an exception. I wouldn’t mind following his orders; waiting patiently for him to give me a task that would fulfill all his desires.
“Ella?” The deep, rich tone of a man’s voice startled me and my racy thoughts.
Dammit! It’s Marius.

This is a novella, stand alone book by a relatively new author. It was a take on Cinderella for modern times with a boss and his assistant.
Ages are never discussed but Ella calls Marius her silver fox and she is working hard to earn money for college. She is also a Filipino American woman with curves who is very innocent and his family is maybe Italian.
Marius owns his own Tech company in San Franscisco, his heart was broken a few years ago by his girlfriend when she cheated with him with his friend.Since then he has been very single and now he feels like he might be ready to meet someone else.
Ella is his assistant and has a BIG crush on him. She has two evil step sisters and one awful stepbrother. She lives with them, the parents are not alive. Not sure why they share a house but they do. She does the cleaning and cooking.
In this story, her best friend Alessia plays fairy godmother for the masked ball and flies in for the weekend inviting Ella to a gala masked ball and comes with dresses, makeup and more to turn Ella into a princess for the night.
I am not spoiling anything about the ball except that its a very romantic setting and Marius seems to fall for her after one dance.
This was a fun story with enjoyable main characters and I loved reading this story. There were several plot points that I felt made the story unrealistic but its a great story if you want a romantic fairytale and love the story of Cinderella.
