         ABOUT THE BOOK

They have ties that bind.

June grew up in the shadow of her brother and his best friend, Drew McKenna. She stood back while Drew dated his way through high school and college, watching and waiting. Waiting for him to realize he loved her as much as she loved him.

When he did, it was the happiest she’d ever been. Until she found him with another woman only five years after their marriage.

Leaving her husband was a simple decision, but there was no easy way to cut him out of her family.

When June receives a fresh start to her career, she also finds what could be a new lease on love. Reality hits Drew with a vengeance.

He wants her back.

She wants to make him suffer.

This is a story about a married couple, Drew and June, who grew up together and he is her older brothers best friend. The first chapter for me was very confusing and then the second chapter it becomes really clear what has happened. This is a cheating book. The hero cheats on his wife and not once but several times. My biggest problem was who he does it with and how long it lasted and how both of them lie to the wife over that time period.

After those first two chapters I was ready to email the author and say I could not keep reading because I HATE cheating books but then I kept reading and one big reason was I LOVED June so much. She does not forgive and forget, she makes him suffer so much. I loved her strength and how she delves into the truth. At first glance what he does is horrible but as time goes by you see that there is so much more to it.

In this book we see June grow up. She faces some very hard facts and she starts to see things in a new light. This really is more about June and Drew and I loved what an awesome kick butt woman she ends up becoming. She even gets an admirer and I absolutely adored him.

I will warn you because I did not know this was in this book. There is one threesome scene. Had I known I would never had read this book but it was tastefully done and its only one scene. It was not my favorite part of the story but it is a big part of the plot and it really is empowering for June.

The best part of the story is when the other woman realizes everyone is wise to her tricks. I am not sure I fully forgave Drew, but I did start to understand how much he did cares for his wife and also how much he was manipulated. He was an idiot but hopefully one who learned some important lessons.

This was an awesome story and the author did such a great job writing this story and getting into her character's head. I am so glad I gave this story a shot and kept reading because I love June so much.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
