This was a really awesome age gap romance between Kane and Ivy. It is #8 in this fun series and can stand alone but to really understand the characters and what happened in the past you really must read Claiming The Cowboy first which is Kane, Knox and Hadleigh's story. (Hadleigh is Ivy's older sister)
Ivy is 19 in this story and Kane is 29. She has crushed on him since she was 12 and he has never really noticed her. At the start of this book, it is 2 years after Claiming the Cowboy and we get to meet Hadleigh and Knox's new baby. At the beginning of this book Kane has a girlfriend who he has been dating a few months.
Ivy is very quiet and shy. In a world of go getters she is a bit of a wallflower and Kane has overlooked her, her entire life. Until she decides that she needs to take some action and show Kane how awesome she is. This is her story about a wallflower blossoming and how she gets her man.
Kane was very HOT in this story. He is such a fun character and you can tell the authors love him. I really loved watching him start to see Ivy and fall hard for her. I adored their scenes together and I fell hard for him as he fell hard for Ivy.
It was really awesome seeing Ivy take risks and let Kane in so he can see who she is. I loved watching her try and keep secrets around some very nosy women while she explored things with Kane.
I think this was my top favorite book in this series and I loved the glances we see of Jackson as a parent with his twin sons and Kane especially.
