ABOUT THE BOOK

Evan Adler can’t get out of his own head.

Worthless.

Broken.

Failure.

Those are just a few of the words he uses to describe himself now. Medically retired from the NHL before he even had a chance to live up to the Adler legacy, Evan has returned to his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, to focus on his mental health. But he never expects his journey of healing to lead him to the University of Bellevue and a position as the athletic trainer for the women’s gymnastics team.

Bellevue’s star gymnast Callie Pearce is the ultimate teammate. She is driven, resilient, and when it comes to the people she loves, she loves harder than she hits the vault table. She grew up with only her older sister in her corner, but it’s easy for her to be caring to anyone she meets. She wants to give everyone the kind of love she has, and she makes sure they know their worth. When Callie finds out Evan Adler is suffering, and at Bellevue, she will stop at nothing to get to know him.

That first time Evan tapes Callie’s ankle, she realizes nothing is going to keep her from taking her shot with him. And together, they’ll use the love they’ve been so richly blessed with in their pasts to save each other’s future.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.
I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.
I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.
… and did I mention I love hockey?

In Saved By Love we finally get Evan Adler's story and it was absolutely awesome. It can stand alone but it is also best read if you read these two books before as both main characters have backstories in these books:

Callie Pearce is featured in Nico and  Aviva's story in Wild Tendy, part of the Ice Cats #2 series. Aviva is Callie's sister. Both Aviva and Nico are a huge part of this story.

Evan Adler is the twin brother of Owen Adler whose story is told in All the Sauce, part of Ice Cats #4 and features Owen's romance with Angie Paxton. Both characters are also heavily featured in this story so I suggest you read that book because Evan is also a huge part of their story.

In this book Evan is now in college at Bellevue and he meets Callie, who is a gymnast at his part time job. They have a very strong connection but its also a bit of a conflict of interest as they work with each other at the gym. In addition, Nico who is Callie's family HATES the Adler family and is extremely opposed to Callie and Evan's relationship.

In this story Evan is at a crossroads. He has quit professional hockey because of heavy anxiety and he is trying to decide if that is permanent or something he never wants to do again. Being as he comes from a hockey family with a mom who owns a team and hockey stars within his family and his twin brother is on a hockey team. This is a huge deal for him.

There is also a side story about breast cancer and even though Callie is not sick and has never had cancer she has had her breasts removed because her sister, Aviva has struggled with Breast Cancer and she never wants to get it. The author did an amazing job showing us how Callie deals with this as a young twenty year old who made this really big and serious decision and how it impacts her life.

Both characters were absolutely awesome. They become friends and then something more and something the other one really needs. As a couple these two form a partnership and a huge support system that was absolutely wonderful. I loved how they accept each other imperfections and are so accepting and loving with each other.

Evan and Callie show a huge depth for love, family and friendship and I adored this story so much.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
