This is a brand new author for me. This book is a novella so I read it pretty fast in about an hour. Its about 100 pages or so. So its perfect for before bed or during lunch time.
There are many hot scenes. This is not a slow burn story but it moves pretty fast and the hot scenes are very HOT!!
At the start of the book Rachel and Finn hate each other. Each has their reasons. Honestly I felt their anger was a bit over the top. Neither did anything that awful to each other.
They also end up working together so that was a fun part of the story. Also Finn is Rachel's older brothers bestie and the brother is married to Rachel's bestie. So they see it each other often.
The book starts at Rachel's brother and her best friends engagement party. Its where Rachel meets Finn and the issues of hate between them happen then. The book then jumps 7 months later as a header for the next chapter. In this chapter Rachel has been out of work for several months and she finally finds a job but at Finn's company and thats how they end up working with each other.
Once they are working together, they start getting to know each other and I really liked this part of the story. But early on we find out that Finn has a sorta girlfriend. Its more of a fake girlfriend with Ariel and its because of business but he does not tell that to Rachel until she finds that out later in the story. This was a big issue for me liking Finn because him not telling this to Rachel early on made it seem like this was sorta a love triangle and gave the story an aspect of cheating.
They also do not use condoms. At that point we know about Ariel but Rachel doesn't so the not using condom thing was an issue I had with this story.
As a whole this was an enjoyable novella. Its light reading and has a hate to love storyline. I felt the I love you's happened a bit fast and I would have enjoyed watching them date more but because its a novella, it moved pretty fast.
