This is the first book in a new series that takes place in Hope Valley with a group of women who work at a Burlesque club, Whiskey Dolls. This first book stars Marin who we met in the last Hope Valley book when Charlie and Dalton saved her from a nasty ex who was abusive.

In this story she hates her ex but she was with him a long time and his older brother, Pierce hated her and his brother but his adorable son Eli loved her and Marin loved him as well so while she doesn't want anything to do with her ex or his brother, when she runs into Eli, she can't resist him and offers Pierce free babysitting.

Pierce has lost his precious wife and he is pretty broken hearted. Until he met Marin but she dated his horrible brother and so she is forever in the forbidden zone.

And so starts a pretty awesome friends/working together romance with a single dad with a forbidden angle. I usually HATE when siblings date a siblings ex but in this case it made me love it even more. Pierce pretty much can't stand his brother and I loved seeing what an awesome guy Pierce was compared to his brother. It was wonderful watching two characters who are very lonely open their hearts to each other as they both adore Eli.
