This is a new author for me and its a complete stand alone though I would love to see future stories about the siblings. Its a second chance at romance with a playboy and takes place at a college between two family friends.
Jo and Jagger grew up as family friends, when they ended up at the same college they had a one night stand as freshman's but after that Jo started dating Lawrence and she dated him until he cheats on her. So Jagger has been avoiding her because he feels like she chose Lawrence over him and Jo felt he never contacted her again so he never cared about her.
After Jo dumps Lawrence they both end up in the same class and they also end up as roomies. And so Jagger has to decide what he wants for his future. Does he want to date his hookup, Jessa or does he want to try for more with Jo?
The part I hated in this story was that Jo walks in when Jagger and Jessa are together. The whole Jessa aspect I did not like whatsover. I can understand him doing one night stands but he has been hooking up with Jessa for awhile. Almost like a hookup girlfriend. The scenes with Jessa I positively hated.
Lawrence was also a character I hated. Jo did something that got her into major trouble and she did it for her boyfriend and he cheated on her. I felt he betrayed her pretty badly and she should have let him take the fall for what he did. He did not deserve her loyalty at all and at times I did not like that she let Lawrence do that to her.
So what did I like in this story? I actually enjoyed when Jagger gets his act together and he finally starts something with Jo. I liked the fact that the two families are so close. I hated the misunderstanding but I was happy it did not drag on forever. I adore Jagger's brother and Jo's sister and would love a story about them.
This story was pretty well written and at times you can tell that Jo and Jagger had a lot of growing up to do and I enjoyed watching that happen for them. I also loved the fact that the two families are so close and I loved when they vacationed together for the holidays.
