This is book 2 in a series but it easily stands alone. It stars best friends who form a pact when they are 16 to never fall in love and get married. This story follows Ashton who made the pact with his friends.
This story starts at 16 where he meets Sage on the night of her 16th birthday, and they really connect but she has a jerk of an ex and when he decides to make up with her, she chooses him over Ashton.
The story then picks up 8 years later and Sage is a mom of twins when she meets Ashton again in a bar on girls night out and Ashton and her enjoy getting to know each other again. But she now has twins and how can she tell him?
This story was really awesome. I did not love the beginning of this story. First I hated the whole pact thing. It was made to make a friend whose parents were divorcing feel better but it was also silly and very limiting. Then we see Sage have sex with the ex and I never like seeing that in a story when its not with the leads in the romance. But after that the story was awesome and its purely just Sage and Ashton finding each other again.
The addition of the kids torturing Ashton was so much fun and I absolutely adored Haiden and Haven. I also loved the relationship that Sage had with her mother and how supportive she was.
This is a second chance romance with a single mom and twins that loved pranking Ashton. Its about growing up and forgetting a silly pact and figuring out what you want for your life. And most of all its about love and friendship and being there for each other.
