“You’re a duke?”
“Let me explain.”
Living with a too-handsome-for-his-own-good roommate was trouble enough, but adding his royal title into the equation took it to an entirely different level.
And why stop there?
Toss in that Cameron Edward Alexander, Duke of Montclair, has just announced to an eager reporter that Janine Hughes was his fiancée. Granted, he’d said it in an accent that dreams were made from, but still...Engaged? To a duke? No way.
Janine didn’t know if she should bow, curtsy, or call him Your Grace.
This wasn’t in her plans. Janine wasn’t ready to be engaged to any man, much less a royal—and one she barely knew. But after hours of Cameron’s pleading (and a bit of shameless groveling), she agreed to pose as his fiancée and go to Montclair so they could do damage control.
Little did they know, the wedding plans had already begun.

I really adore this authors writing and this series has been wonderful. This book is book 3 in the series and it easily stands alone. It was very different than the other two books in the series but I still loved it. I missed seeing Pete, Lacey, Grace and Drew, day in and out as they live in the same city and have game nights, as was in the other books. This book is Janine of alone in a brand new city in Virginia and well I really missed them. They had a few phone calls and they show up more in the end but I missed not having them have a bigger part in this story.
In this story Janine has a new job in human resources. The lady she is taking over for, offers her a place to stay with her roomie Cammie and Janine jumps on it sight unseen.
What she discovers is that Cammie is Cameron and a hot English accent guy who is beyond HOT! They become great friends until one night at Kaeroke and thats when this story becomes a fake fiancee and will they get married or not and she become a Duchess or not?
What was unusual in this story is that until they become fake engaged they don't even kiss. They are beyond fun and I loved how much fun they have with each other and how great friends they are. This book was very fun and big on flirtation but not so much on romance.
I really enjoyed it a lot and if you love fun and flirty books and even fake fiancee stories then this is a wonderful story. But its more about friendship and finding your person than a lot of hot sex scenes and romance.
