This was a really awesome story but so very complicated. It was one of those stories that you just don't want to put down because something is always happening, and you can't wait to find out what happens next.
Primarily it is a love story about two sister, Hana and Blake. They are very wealthy and have an Uncle Hugh who loves them but has a terrible mother and their father has died.
Uncle Hugh has a young friend named, Hutch and who at the beginning of the story convinces Blakes mother to send her away at age 16 because he fears for her safety. This results in Blake hating Hutch for allowing a bad man to steal her family's money and it allows bad things to happen to her younger sister Hana.
Years later Blake is back home and living with her sister who has a group of undesirable friends and when Uncle Hugh requests them to visit him. Blake sees it as a chance to get Hana away from her user friends.
In the country they meet up with Hutch and he and his best friend Scar end up spending time with each other while they try and find Uncle Hugh who has disappeared.
This was an action-packed story with some evil characters. It's not really a mob story but it does have some references to getting high and some of the characters have some mob connections, and porn is discussed. It also has a little bit of blackmail as well. There are also some references that Hana suffered from some sexual abuse in the past. There are also A LOT of sex scenes. One sex scene drove me a bit crazy as it's in the middle of the drama and I was more interested in the drama than the sex scene.
I really enjoyed it but it was very drama filled and had many nail-biting scenes. I cannot wait to read Scar and Hana's story next.
