This is the third book in the series and easily stands alone. It was a good story, but I like light, fun reads or with ones that are filled with love and connection, this book was not light or fun. This was an interesting tale but to me it felt like a story about predators.
It's a story about a girl named Rhyann, with big dreams who lives in a small town in Manhattan, Kansas. She gets offered a scholarship to a dance academy in Manhattan NYC and she leaves the safety of her life for the big city. She meets some good people along the way but also some people that want to hurt her.
It was an interesting story about a woman among predators who has to find her own strength and save herself. It broke my heart at times. It also had a fair amount of angst as Rhyann falls hard for Mason and he her but it's also a forbidden relationship as she is his stripper and works for him, so he won't be in a relationship with her.
Its a very different story than the first two books in the series and is a much darker story. My heart broke a few times for Rhyann and Mason as they are both in a difficult place in this story. I did love how supportive Mason is of her dreams and how he is in her corner throughout the story.
