Mr. Bloomsbury by Louise Bay (Andrew/James and Sophia)

He's cold, rude and undeniably arrogant.

That’s how Andrew Blake's best friends describe him.

Bad luck for me that I’m his new assistant.

Nothing I do is good enough.

The more I try and please him, the more he ignores me.

I’m beginning to wonder if there’s a heart in that tall, hard, gorgeous body of his.

After work I’m complaining about him to my new best friend—the bartender at the pub near the office.

Guess who’s seated behind me and has heard every gripe, grumble and grievance?

By the look in Andrew's eye, I can't tell if I'm going to get fired or kissed.

Meet Louise Bay

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful (not currently on sale as undergoing maintenance!), HopefulThe Empire State SeriesThe Nights CollectionThe Royals Collection, and The Gentleman Collection (these are series of stand alone books each following different characters). Louise’s most recent novel is Mr. Mayfair which is available now!

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, The West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I LOVE at work romances and while this used that trope, it was so much more than that. Sophia is in London to reconnect with the father who gave her up at birth. He is very wealthy and she needs money for her mother. She is living with her American best friend when the friend gets fired by Andrew. She is unemployed and can't find a job so she decides to go for her friends ex job.

And that is how she meets Andrew who is a class A jerk and who she has to convinces him to hire her. Andrew is not just a huge grump but he hates to talk, wants things in order and has some strange work hours. But Sophia really needs the job so she makes it work.

There is a side story with Andrew that he wants to purchase his grandmothers old newspaper and revitalize it and the seller is not buying Andrew so Sophia comes up with a plan.

This is when the book takes off as Andrew and Sophia try and figure out how to get the guy to sell to him. In the midst of this Andrew and Sophia flirt at a bar with each other and things get very hot if you know what I mean.

This was a really awesome story. Really different than I expected and I loved the storyline and all the characters. Its definitely a story about girl/woman power as Sophia becomes a girl boss and Andrew really admires her for her brain as well as her other talents.
