This is Stone's story, and it starts at the very beginning from the moment he learns of his brother's Brooks death and through when he joins the team, and we get to see the team as it grows into the Titans 2.0.
Stone and Brooks are brothers who grew up together with parents you would not want. Inside of bringing them together, they tore them apart and Brooks became a man that Stone did not know.
With Brooks death, Stone joins his old team, and he ends up meeting Brooks close friend, neighbor and estate trustee, Harlow. Harlow was very close to Brooks and has some important things to share with Stone. This book is really Stone's journey into who his brother was and his legacy. Brooks was much more than a great hockey player and brother and I loved that Stone lets Harlow in so he can get to know who his brother was.
Harlow is an awesome character and I adored her. She lost one of her best friends and she works very hard to get Stone to meet with her and she helps him come to terms with his brother and who he was and their painful past.
This story made me laugh, cheer, cry and sigh many times. It's a feel-good romance with lots of heart and in it we learn what family means to Brooks, Stone, and Harlow.
