This is a slow burn romance where the very hot hockey player, Miller is a virgin at age 24. He meets Scout, 28 previous to this book and its mentioned as being in the past,  but when he introduces himself to her at a party, she is very insulted as he has been a customer for YEARS at her donut truck. And so at the beginning of the story she kinda has a hate on for him and he decides they need to become besties.

This was a really fun story and I really enjoyed watching Miller work hard to be Scout's friend even as she is against it. This was a slow burn story and I really enjoyed the pace and watching Scout fall for Miller was very entertaining.

Miller is kinda a shy and nerdy kind of guy who plays hockey. If you want a take charge and confident hockey player romance then don't read this but if you want to meet a really nice guy and a sweetheart then you will absolutely adore this book and Miler just like Scout did.

This story is filled with friendship, lust and love. Its a fun and light read with very little drama but lots of heartfelt moments. There is a side character, Macie, who totally stole my heart.
