This is a stand-alone book within a series. It's a series I have been wanting to read as I read a previous series by the author that I loved. However, I had not had a chance to read this series yet, so I was excited to check out Sip and Savor and meet the authors new characters. This book sounded hot and intriguing, and I could not wait to read it.
In this book we meet Dominica or Min and Hudson/Matteo. Min lives in Kitchi Falls in Finger Lakes, New York and is a 25-year-old who is extremely close to her parents and older brothers. She has three very over protective brothers. Neo, Cos and Marco love their sister and they all work together at the family winery. As the story starts she is very excited because she is going to her sister-in-law to be's bachelorette party in Nashville.
Hudson is a 29-year-old, stripper/bartender in a club/bar called Encore in Nashville. He comes from a small town close to where Min lives with her family. He also is a singer and came to Nashville to be discovered. When he sees Min for the first time at the bachelorette party, he is very interested but he thinks she is the bride. They then meet again and that's when this story got SO good. I don't want to ruin the fun and give you all the details. But this was one of the best "meet cute" scenes that I have read in a long time.
This was a slow burn romance with a bit of insta lust with a vacation fling sort of romance that ends up leading to both falling hard and fast and wanting more than a few nights together. But NY and Nashville are two very different place.
This story is very much a coming of age and a crossroads of sorts for Hudson. The things he wanted at 27 when he arrived in Nashville is very different than 29-year-old Hudson and he has a lot to think about and where he wants his life to lead.
Min herself is at a crossroads herself. Two of three brothers are engaged and/or getting hitched but she is very sweet, kind and innocents and she wants that to change but that's hard to do with three very overprotective brothers. In this story she learns to stand up for herself and her romantic decisions. Plus, its hard following your heart and the big question with her is where is her future?
This was a wonderful story filled with one HOT guy who is a stripper and a talented singer but also one who falls a bit into insta lust with Min. It's a story about following your heart vs your head and growing up and changing your mind about the future you always dreamed about. It's also a story about life, lover, following your heart and friends and family.
