ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Meet Brighton Walsh
She likes her books how she likes her tea—steamy and satisfying—and adores strong-willed heroines and the protective heroes who fall head over heels for them.
Brighton lives in the Midwest with her real life hero of a husband, her two kids—one who’s already taller than her and one who’s catching up too fast—and her dog who thinks she’s a queen. Her boy-filled house is the setting for dirty socks galore, frequent dance parties (okay, so it’s mostly her, by herself, while her children look on in horror), and more laughter than she thought possible.

This is the my first time reading a book in the series and I felt this book easily stands alone. It is part of a series about a family of siblings whose mother died when they were all teens and whose father became a drunk and abandoned them. They all own and help run an Inn in the small town of Starlight Cove.
This book stars Beck who runs a bakery/cafe in town and he is best friends with the town Veterinarian, Every, who came to town when her aunt died and left her a house and clinic. She is a happy person and Beck is very grumpy.
These two have known each other for two years and are best friends. When she gets a visitor, that's when Beck finds out that he never wants to lose her, and he needs to let her know how he feels. And then a tragedy happens, and he can lose Everly forever.
This was an awesome story that I could not put down. Everly and Beck have such an awesome friendship that their feelings you can feel through the pages of this story. I loved him and I loved her and together you can just feel the love and friendship they share between them.
This was one of the best friends to lovers romances I have read. In addition, the hot times were very sexy. I loved how there for Everly, Beck is and they have this really amazing relationship, attraction and connection.
