Simply Mine by Laura Pavlov (Charlie and Ledger)

Simply Mine by Laura Pavlov is now live!

ABOUT THE BOOK

She’s looking for Mr. Right. I can offer her Mr. Right Now.

That’s my specialty.

He’s my best friend’s older brother.

He was also my teenage crush and completely out of reach.

But we had our secrets—moments that nobody knew about.

I’d tucked them away in a safe place, and that’s where I’d planned to keep them.

He’d moved to the city, and I’d moved on.

But now he was back in Honey Mountain for a few weeks.

And he’d found endless reasons to spend time with me.

What started out as rekindling our friendship turned into a different kind of… stroking the fire.

No pun intended.

It was temporary.

Just another secret that we’d keep between us.

Ledger Dane came with an expiration date.

He’d always been one foot out the door.

Why would this time be any different?

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a stand alone book within the series and stars Charlotte Thomas or Charlie. She is a kindergarten teacher and dreams of marriage, family and love. And as the story begins her best friend is getting married and she is the Maid of Honor.

Her best friend has a brother, Ledger, who is coming to town because he is the best man and he and Charlie end up spending lots of time together during his visit helping with the wedding.

This story is about moving on and forgiveness. Not only of each other but of parents and hurt and letting the anger go. It's about growing up, maturing and facing your past head on so you can find the future that is right for you.

Both Charlie and Ledger have very painful pasts that caused massive pain. For Charlie she lost her mother and for Ledger he lost his father because of his father's cheating and secrets. Both events destroyed their lives, but they reacted in very different ways and those ways are really what is keeping them apart.

The author did a great job showing the reader their pain and how it changed their life forever. They each chose a different way to deal with it. This is not a light read but it is a very sexy and flirty romance, and I adored Charlotte. Ledger, I felt a lot of pity for. He has been there for his family, but he has wrapped himself in his pain and the betrayal of his father and is still living the pain. This story is more about him and him having to face his past and learning to let go and forgiveness so he can move on in his life.
